The show revolves around Simran, a simple girl who belongs to a very traditional Punjabi family. After losing her parents at very young age, Simran is brought up by her uncle-aunt. When she comes of age, Simran marries to a guy of her uncle’s choice. However, life comes to a standstill for Simran when her husband tells her on the wedding is a mistake.
